Kilworth GAA Club Notes 02 April 2026
BUSY WEEK OF PLAYING ACTION AHEAD
Over the next seven days the club will be involved in three league games across all codes, which will be the busiest week of sporting action to date in 2026. Starting tomorrow evening the intermediate hurlers travel to Bishopstown to contest the home side in their second round fixture of the Red FM Division 4 Hurling League. After defeating Blackrock two weeks ago by 4 points in a highly entertaining contest, another stern task awaits the lads in this encounter as they face the towns first string at the Bishopstown GAA ground with throw in fixed for the earlier time of 6.45pm.
Then on Tuesday evening attention turns to the the junior footballers as they look to make it three wins from three when they face Abbey Rovers in this rescheduled fixture of the Avondhu division 3 football league in Castletownroche which is fixed at 7pm. Two days later, on Thursday evening, its the turn of the junior hurlers as they return to the field of play to face Shanballymore in their second round fixture which has a later throw in of 8.15pm.
The club wishes all the above mentioned teams the very best of luck in their respective encounters. All support greatly appreciated.
