KILWORTH GAA NOTES 2019-04-27 14:07:00

ALL ROADS TO CORK THIS SUNDAY AFTERNOON!

The wait is almost over! The championship is finally here! This coming Sunday, April 28th we will see our Premier Intermediate Hurlers take on the men of Valley Rovers in the opening round of this year’s Cork County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship. The game is part of a double header and will take place in Pairc Úi Rinn on Sunday @ 3:45pm. It will be preceded by Fermoy and Courcey Rovers @ 2:00pm. A large crowd is expected in Cork on Sunday so it is advised to set off early, park up the car and head in to enjoy what should be two highly contested games of hurling.

On behalf of the club we would like to wish the very best of luck to the management of Shane Tobin, Damien McNamara, John Hegarty, Will Twomey, Aidan Kenny and Darren Kenny and the panel of players on Sunday. To date we have enjoyed a successful league campaign and we hope that good run will continue into our opening championship game on Sunday afternoon. We are all behind you and supporting you every step of the way! We hope to see a large Kilworth crowd in the stands on Sunday. Be sure to get decked out in your red and white colours and roar our team on to what we hope will be a memorable victory! Kilworth Abú!

THANK YOU SEÁN

On behalf of the club, the management and players, we would like to sincerely thank Seán O’Brien for supplying Lucozade Sport for our previous league games. It was greatly appreciated as always.

And as you are all aware, we have big plans ahead for next year with the development of our brand new state-of-the-art club house and pitch facilities with the overall cost of the project expected to be approximately €750,000. But this will not be possible if we do not raise the much needed funds to make this dream a reality. This is where we need your support now more than ever!

All sponsors names will also be included on our club website which we aim to have in place prior to the event.

On behalf of the club we would like to congratulate Darragh Roche and all involved on a fantastic Tractor and Truck Run in Kilworth on Sunday afternoon last. It was a roaring success and it was wonderful to see such a large crowd and a great buzz around the village for such a brilliant cause in mental health. It certainly got people talking and no doubt, it has helped people already. It was a credit to all involved in organising the event for making it such a success so well done again!
