Successful Covid fundraiser for Marymount Hospice:

From June 12th to June 21st we held a very successful fundraiser in aid of Marymount hospice. Our goal was to virtually run/walk the Rebel County and raise €2000 for the cause. However our wonderful community and our own club members both near and far went above and beyond and within 2.5 days we had reached our initial goal. We extended the route inland, to Croke Park and then to return back home to our club grounds. As a club we are overwhelmed by the response and offer sincere gratitude to everyone who participated and donated. The final stats were 3,945km travelled, 585 hours and 13 minutes completed, 503 participants and a whopping €8335 raised for Marymount hospice (at time of publication). The donation page will remain open until the end of June if you would like to donate at idonate.ie/KilworthGAACamogie.

Return to Play

As most will be aware by now, the GAA have released guidelines in relation to return to play procedures over the last few weeks. The proposals have changed a number of times as the dates have been brought forward and the club are working very hard to try to get everything up and running as soon as possible whilst ensuring to abide by the guidelines issued. Coaches and managers will be in touch with players, parents and guardians over the coming days and we would hope to see all teams back on the pitch by mid-July at the latest. There will of course be a number of protocols to be followed and we would ask for your help in ensuring that we meet all the requirements put in place. We will be available to answer any questions / queries and will try to make returning as easy as possible.

At the start of the shutdown, we were in the midst of registering players for the coming year and therefore some memberships etc are still outstanding. The easiest way to pay your membership is online via the club website. If you have any queries however please do not hesitate to contact your teams management or indeed any of the club committee.

Our fortnightly meeting recommence:

Our fortnightly meeting will recommence next Monday night 29th at 8:15pm.

Votes of Sympathy:

The club would like to express sympathy to the O’ Brien families Kilworth and Fermoy, and the Dorgan family Mourneabbey. Also to the Bolger family Ballyduff on their recent bereavements.
