KILWORTH GAA NOTES 2019-09-03 12:01:00

FOOTBALLERS TAKE CENTRE STAGE ON SATURDAY

Synergy Fermoy Credit Union North Cork JAFC Final – Kilworth V Kilshannig in Kildorrery on Saturday September 7th 2019 @ 6:30pm.

This coming Saturday evening our footballers will look to make history as they take centre stage and set about winning their first ever North Cork Junior ‘A’ football championship title against Kilshannig in Kildorrery. We have been in this position a few times before but we all hope that Saturday will finally be the day we cross the finish line as winners and lift that trophy for the very first time. The game is fixed for Kildorrery with a throw-in of 6:30pm and referee Mike Sheehan will take charge of proceedings. Every player along with the management team have put in a ferocious effort all year to get to the final, defeating Buttevant, Charleville and Fermoy along the way.

Now it is our turn to get behind the lads in their quest for glory on Saturday. It’s time to throw up that red and white flag, get decked out in your red and white gear and make your way to Kildorrery on Saturday to cheer our lads on to what we hope will be victory! Let’s be their 16th man in this crucial encounter. Posters are going up around the village and it would be great to see a few flags flying too but more importantly to see a bank of Kilworth supporters in Kildorrery on Saturday. On behalf of the club we would like to wish the players and the management of Pat O’Brien, Brian Tobin, Mark O’Connor and Maurice McNamara the very best of luck in this game. We are all behind you! Kilworth Abú!
