GOLF CLASSIC NEXT FRIDAY

There is only a week to go to this year’s Kilworth GAA Club golf classic which will be held in Fermoy Golf Club on Friday next ( September 10th). As always all monies taken in during the event are set aside specifically for developments within the club ground’s.

The details of the event are as follows; Date: Friday 10th September 2021, Venue: Fermoy Golf Club, Players: 3 players per team, Format: 3 ball scramble (each players drive to count a minimum of 3 times), Entry Fee: €150.00 per team, Inclusions: Entry to Golf Classic, Refreshments, Meal on Completion of round.

Raffle tickets are also now on sale online or from any club committee member. Please enter to be in with a chance to win a week’s accommodation in Fuerteventura with €500 in cash also thrown in. There are also various other prizes up for grabs, with the draw taking place on the night of the classic. Tickets cost €5 each or 3 tickets for €10.

LOTTO STANDS AT €11,600

There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €11,400 held on Monday August 30th. The numbers drawn were: 08, 09, 15 and 19. The lucky dip winner of €50 was Sheena O’Connor c/o John O’Connor. The lucky dip winners of €25 each were: Thomas Hallihan c/o Brian Carey, John Dineen c/o Centra, Sadie Long c/o Alan Kenny.  Next week’s jackpot on Monday September 6th is €11,600. Tickets cost just €2 each or 3 lines for €5 and they are available locally in O’ Sullivan’s Centra, Carmel’s Garden Centre, Bedina’s, Ger Hennessy Hair Studio, Hair by Helen, Aherne’s bar, The Village Inn, the Butchers bar, Cotters Bar online at www.kilworthgaa.com or from any of our usual sellers. INTERCOUNTY SUCCESS

Congratulations to Aoibhe Carey and the Cork minor ladies Gaelic Football team on their Munster final success over Tipperary last Sunday. Congratulations also to Shauna O’Driscoll and Rebecca Feehan, who were part of the Cork Ladies Gaelic Football U14 team who won the Munster championship defeating Kerry in the final recently.
