KILWORTH AND FERMOY FACE OFF IN FOOTBALL SEMI-FINAL 2019-08-07 11:00:00

JAFC Semi-final – Kilworth V Fermoy on Saturday August 10th in Mitchelstown @ 7:00pm.

It’s all roads to Mitchelstown this Saturday evening as neighbours Kilworth and Fermoy prepare to face off in the semi-final of this year’s junior ‘A’ football championship. The game has a 7:00pm throw-in and it’s sure to be a tight, physical encounter. Fermoy will provide a very tough challenge with a strong panel of footballers but that won’t sway our lads from going out there on Saturday and giving it everything they’ve got. Our footballers have already produced comprehensive victories over Buttevant and Charleville to reach this stage of the competition and they will be looking for more of the same this weekend as they look to book their place in the final once again. We ask all of our supporters to please turn out in your numbers and get behind our lads this Saturday evening. All support will be greatly appreciated on the short journey to Mitchelstown. On behalf of the club we would like to wish the very best of luck to all of the management and players involved. Kilworth Abú!

KILWORTH FESTIVAL 2019

The Kilworth Annual Festival kicked off last Sunday evening with a wonderful Fancy Dress Parade up through the village and thankfully the weather dried up for it too! There are a number of activities taking place across the week and there is definitely something to suit all the family. There will be a village club kid’s sports day for all children from junior infants to sixth class next Saturday August 10th with registration in the GAA pitch at 1:30pm and proceedings will kick off at 2:15pm. Be sure to get involved for an afternoon of fun sporting challenges from the GAA, Camogie, Soccer, Athletics, Tennis, Handball and Pitch and Putt clubs. Spread the word and join the fun! It only costs €5 per child and there will be a tea and coffee stall for all the parents as well. On behalf of the club we would like to thank and congratulate all those who work so hard to organise the festival and who continue to make it a success. It’s a wonderful way of bringing the village and community together and long may that continue into the future.

VOTES OF SYMPATHY

On behalf of the club we would like to express votes of sympathy to the Buckley family Kilworth, the Hegarty family Castlelyons, the O’Brien family Fermoy and the Keane family Fermoy following their recent bereavements.
