CRUCIAL CLASH AGAINST BALLINCOLLIG AWAITS 2022-08-25 16:03:00

All roads lead to Fermoy on Sunday afternoon for the crucial clash between Kilworth and Ballincollig in the latest round of the Co-Op Superstores Cork County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship. The game throws-in at 2:00pm and it also doubles up as the league semi-final with extra-time to be played if necessary. Our game is also part of a double header billing with Midleton and Kanturk playing at 4pm in the Premier Senior Hurling Championship. Tickets for these games must be purchased online @ gaacork.ie and the prices are as follows: Adults €10.70; OAPs and Students €8.56 and under 16s are free. On behalf of the club and its supporters, we’d like to wish the very best of luck to the management and all of the players involved on Sunday. Following a great win over Castlemartyr in the last round, let’s hope we can follow it up with another big win on Sunday. FOOTBALLERS PREPARE TO TAKE ON KILAVULLEN

Our attention turns to football next Tuesday night (August 30th) as we prepare to take on Kilavullen in the Junior A football championship quarter final in Castletownroche @ 6:30pm. A place in the semi-final against Charleville awaits the winners. Tickets for this game can be purchased at the gate and all support is greatly appreciated. We’d like to wish the very best of luck to the players and management team involved and let’s hope it’s a great week on the field of play!


LOTTO JACKPOT ROLLS OVER FOR ANOTHER WEEK

There was no winner of our lotto jackpot of €20,000 last Tuesday night so it rolls over for another week. The numbers drawn were: 01, 25, 27 and 31. VOTES OF SYMPATHY

On behalf of the club we’d like to express our deepest sympathies to the Condon and McNamara families on the sad passing of Denny Condon. A great character and a gentleman, Denny was part of the Clubs history making 1967 Junior hurling county winning team. The club would also like to express our deepest sympathies to the O’Hara family Kilworth and the Roche family Grange following their recent bereavements.  


CONGRATULATIONS

Well done to the Kilworth Araglen Fe 17 hurlers who had a 4-16 to 1-10 win over Ballyhea in Ballyhea last Friday night and they have now qualified for the Rebel Og North A final with a group game to play. This is a brilliant achievement, well done to all involved and we wish you the very best of luck in the final!


FIXTURES

Co-Op Superstores Cork County PIHC R3 – Kilworth v Ballincollig in Fermoy on Sunday August 28th @ 2pm (This is a double header with the PSHC game between Midelton and Kanturk @ 4pm). Our game doubles up as the league semi-final and if it finishes level at full time, both sides will receive a point each for the championship and extra time will follow to determine a winner for the league decider.

JAFC quarter-final – Kilworth v Kilavullen in Castletownroche on Tuesday August 30th @ 6:30pm. (ET and penalties if necessary). The winners will play Charleville on September 4th.
