Kilworth GAA Notes - May 2nd 2019 2019-05-02 08:09:00

FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP THIS SATURDAY

On behalf of the club we would like to wish the very best of luck to our junior footballers and their management as they begin their football championship campaign next Saturday in Ballyhooley against Buttevant. We came very close to beating this same side last year as we led by twelve points in the quarter-final, only to be beaten by a point at the death. Let’s hope for better luck next weekend! Please come along and support the lads on Saturday. All support will be greatly appreciated. Kilworth Abú!

GOLF CLASSIC JUST TWO WEEK’S AWAY

This year’s Kilworth GAA Club annual golf classic will be held in Fermoy Golf Club on Friday the 17TH of May 2019. As always, all monies taken in during this event are set aside specifically for developments within the club grounds. And as you are all aware, we have big plans ahead for next year with the development of our brand new state-of-the-art club house and pitch facilities with the overall cost of the project expected to be approximately €750,000. But this will not be possible if we do not raise the much needed funds to make this dream a reality. This is where we need your support now more than ever!

The details of the event are as follows:

Date: Friday the 17th May 2019

Venue: Fermoy Golf Club

Players: 3 players per team

Format: 3 ball scramble (each players drive to count a minimum of 3 times)

Entry Fee: €150.00 per team

Inclusions Entry to Golf Classic, Refreshments, Meal on Completion of Round

We would also welcome support from local businesses in terms of sponsorship of tee boxes on the day of the classic at a rate of €100.00 each. Any business which sponsors a tee box will have their company’s name printed at that tee box for the duration of the event, will have their company name publicised in the local media and will also be added to our list of sponsors which will be displayed in the clubhouse throughout the event. All sponsors names will also be included on our club website which we aim to have in place prior to the event.

Should you wish to enter a team, sponsor a tee box or require further details on the event, please do not hesitate to contact Ned O’Brien on 087 9349071 or any other committee member for more information. For tee-times, please contact Seán Carey. We welcome your support and we hope this year’s event is the most successful one yet! Please spread the word and get those golf clubs ready!
